“BIOMIMICRY”

Presented by our team of dynamic raptor-interpreters, shows are held 7 days a week as of June 29th, 2024, weather permitting, at the summit of Tremblant until Labour Day Monday (September 2d, 2024).

A wide variety of raptors is presented: the Bald Eagle, the Black Vulture, the Harris’ Hawk, the American Kestrel, the Barn Owl, and the Great-Horned Owl. A 10-minute gondola ride or a 90-minute hike will get you to the summit for the show.

An amazing view of the the Laurentian Valley will guarantee to impress!

With the Multi-Activity Bundle, save! Explore a selection of 16 varied activities that will take you from the mountain top to the beach and the pedestrian village. Save by choosing 3 or 5 activities and enjoy a tailor-made summer experience!

LANGUAGE : Shows are bilingual and offered at 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

DURATION: 45 minutes.

LOCATION: The show is offered at the summit, off of the Beauchemin ski trail.  Access to summit via the Gondola (12 minute ride) or the hiking trails (90 min).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

The show is offered outdoors, weather permitting. Customer service can confirm this activity is happening when tickets are purchased.

The site is accessible on foot through uneven terrain, not recommended for those with reduced mobility.  Dogs and picnics are not tolerated on the show site.

 

HOLD ONE OF OUR BIRDS AFTER THE SHOW! After each show, we offer a very special photoshoot, where the public is invited to hold certain birds presented during the demonstration with a glove. Hold the owl, hawk or kestrel for the cost of $ 15 and take as many photos as you like with your camera!

APPRENTICE FALCONER ACTIVITY

At Tremblant, a private session with a falconer and a trained hawk, where participants get to experience first-hand the thrill of flying a bird of prey and have it land on their glove!

  • Discover bird of prey characteristics,
  • Learn about falconry and hunting with a bird of prey,
  • Handle a trained raptor,
  • 45-60 minutes daily

Additional activities are offered at the base of the mountain every day from June 26th until September 2d 2024.  Contact Tremblant Activity Center  for our availabilities.

Important Information :  Closed shoes are recommended for this activity, and appropriate clothing for the weather.  Activity is offered rain or shine.  Don’t forget your camera! Youth 16 years and under must be accompanied by an adult.  Children 5 years old and under can accompany the group, but will not be able to handle the bird.

Schedule :  

Daily outings at 9:00, 10:00, 3:30p.m and 4:30p.m (Mondays 9:00 and 4:30p.m only).

FALCONER FOR A DAY

This unforgettable experience is targeted towards young people interested in working with birds or animals, in being a falconer, in becoming an animal trainer or working in a zoo setting. Your teen will spend all day with our team of falconer-biologists, get to meet our birds, enjoy the show and even help us out with the last show of the day!

The participant will also:

  • Help with food preparation and feeding
  • Learn about bird training and falconry
  • Get to handle a raptor on the glove and in free-flight!

Duration: from 10 am to 4 pm, half days are not offered.

Location: Meet at the Activity Centre, spending the rest of the day at the summit of the mountain.

Important Information: Proper footwear and outdoor clothing is essential. Bring your camera, your lunchbox and water (1 litre). Youths must be 12 to 17 years old, one participant per day.
